First Grade Homework Sheet

Week of April 23, 2012

        Our P.T.G. performance is fast approaching, and we have been rehearsing every day.  Please help your child practice at home if he/she has a speaking part and make sure their costumes are ready.  The children are very excited and I am sure they will do a wonderful job.

        This Tuesday, April 24, is the First Grade on-campus Bake

Sale.  Heather has planned a “Root Beer Float Sale” which will be well-received I am sure!  Please contact her if you can help.

Monday:  Write Spelling Words List #29 five times each;

        Writing—“What a Scent!” contraction practice

        Math—“Early Birds” three-digit column addition practice

Tuesday:  Write Spelling Words List #29 three times each;

        Phonics—“Making a Splash” long vowels

        Math—“Just Hanging Around”

Wednesday:  Write Spelling Words List #29 two times each;

        Phonics—“A Team of Three” long vowels

        Math—“Sights at the Zoo” word problems

Thursday:  Take a Practice Spelling Test List #29;

        Phonics—“What a Show!” long vowels

        Math—“On the Swings”
